Things to Consider When Buying Charlottesville Golf Course Homes

Things to Consider When Buying  Charlottesville Golf Course Homes

Buying Charlottesville Golf Course Home

Glenmore golf course homes

Many golfers dream of purchasing a home on a golf course.  We have some beautiful Charlottesville golf communities and there are golf course homes in different styles and price ranges.  But before buying one of the available Charlottesville golf course homes it is a good idea to consider what a golf course home means to you.

Do you want a golf front home or will you be content with a home in a golf community?

There is much to be said for purchasing a home or lot that fronts directly on the golf course.  In the evening you can relax on your deck or terrace and watch the golfers out on the course.  When you arrive home late in the day it may be possible to walk out of your back door and practice putting and chipping.  Also lets not forget the added beauty of a golf course view and the possibility that fronting on the golf course can make a smaller lot feel larger.  That may be what is in your mind when dreaming about buying Charlottesville Golf Course Homes.

On the other hand, you may prefer a home that is in a golf community but does not front directly on the golf course.  You will be able to zip down to the clubhouse in your golf cart but you will not have to worry about errant golf balls ending up in your yard.  In addition, a golf course lot may not be as private.  Your back yard will be visible to golfers on the course and you may rather have more privacy when sitting on your terrace in the evening.  You will also want to consider whether the cart path is between your home and the fairway.  This may offer more protection from golf balls, but it may not offer the view that you prefer and could come with less privacy.  Finally a home that is on the right side (or slice side) of the course and about 200 yards from the men’s tee box may end up with more balls in your yard.  How does a home that is not actually fronting the course fit in with your dream of buying Charlottesville Golf Course Homes.

These are some of the things to consider when purchasing a  home on a Charlottesville golf course.  It will be helpful to hire a real estate agent who knows golf and is a Charlottesville golf property specialist.
