Charlottesville Golf Communities On The Range
Tonight I am watching one of my favorite Golf Channel programs “On The Range”. It is showing us the players on the state of the art range at Jack Nicholaus’s Muirfield Village. For many golfers the most important feature that determines which of our lovely Charlottesville GolF Neighborhoods that they would like to live is is the golf course. We may play all of the courses to see which one we would like to play on a regular basis, but if you are a practicer the range will be important as well.
Nicholaus was talking about the changes that he has made in his range. The range has been lengthened to 318 yards whit a fence at the end. According to Jack the only player that may be able to hit over the fence is Bubba. Also there is an assortment of targets and bunker on the range. What is important to you on the range where you like to practice? It could be a variety of targets with yardage markets. Or if you are a long hitter the length of the range will be a factor. Perhaps you like to practice in an area that is quiet and removed from distractions. Or you want a range with ample stations so that you are assured of a place to hit from without worrying about coming at a particular time of day. Some ranges will only allow you to hit irons from mats and others will have plenty of mats. Just like there is a Charlottesville golf course to suit every game, there is a Charlottesville range for every taste.
Another important range feature is the availability of short game practice facilities. You will want to see the practice bunkers and also a nice putting green with a variety of holes.
