The Greens at Tanyard Golf Course

Although many golf courses around Charlottesville are located in its county of Albemarle, there are other options east of Charlottesville in the neighboring county of Louisa.  We have already told you many details about the popular Spring Creek golf course community, but there is another smaller golfing location in Louisa County called The Greens at Tanyard.

 

The Greens at Tanyard golf course is a semi-private club that welcomes the public to play, seven days a week.  It is located between Charlottesville and Richmond.  The 18-hole course is a Par 72, and it rewards golfers who have an accurate short game.  Here is a link to a diagram of the course. The atmosphere is quite casual and relaxed.  In addition there is a clubhouse, putting greens, chipping area, and driving range for those who want to develop their serious golf skills.
