Children who are lucky to begin early with responsible golf instruction have a huge advantage in making golf a successful part of their lives. We’re fortunate to have an abundance of local support for kids who want to learn to play golf in Charlottesville. Our various golf clubs and other organizations sponsor tournaments and scrambles for Juniors of all ages. Below is a sample of offerings.
Spring Creek Juniors Golf
At Spring Creek Golf Course, youngsters as young as 4 years old can begin their mastery of the game in their Little Linksters classes. Those clinics begin on August 28th and each week the kids will learn a different basic golf skill…. full swing, putting, the course itself etc. For those ages 6+, Spring Creek offers golf skill instruction plus on-course instruction. Their “Fire 12” program allows kids to improve their on-course skills with rewards at each level. Here’s a link to the Spring Creek golf brochure that will give you an overview of golf programs offered for Juniors at Spring Creek golf course
